In order to be happy and have peace of mind we need good levels of self-esteem – the way we think and feel about ourselves – and confidence – the way we feel and operate in the world. If we think of ourselves as not being as good as others in some way we really need to work on our self-esteem and lack of confidence. Worrying about how others may judge us can take over our thoughts and make us very unhappy.
